How To Customize YouTube Channel URL

YouTube is a popular platform for media marketers to reach out to a large audience. They can also use it to generate more revenue for their business. Creating a unique, memorable channel URL is a great way to boost your brand’s reputation and visibility online.

Changing your YouTube channel url can be a very easy process if you know what to do. The process begins with signing into YouTube Studio. Once logged in, you can click the “customize” button to begin the process of changing your channel url.

Change Your Channel URL From The Website

You can also change your channel url from the website itself by clicking on the Settings icon at the top of the screen and then selecting the Advanced Account Settings option. This will allow you to access a new screen with more options, as seen in the below screenshot.

To change your custom url, you must first meet some requirements that will help you qualify for a new channel url. These requirements include having an uploaded profile picture and banner image. Additionally, you need to have 100 subscribers or more in your account and be at least 30 days old.

Make Your Selections

Once you have met the requirements, you can start by checking your eligibility for a custom url by clicking the link next to You’re eligible for a custom URL under the setting menu. This will only appear on channels that are eligible for the change, so make sure to check your eligibility before making any changes!

Then, once you’ve made your selection, read the terms of service and agree to them. You’ll also want to add your name and email address in the box that pops up.

Getting Your Custom URL

When you’re satisfied with your custom url, click “Claim it”. Once the custom url is approved, you won’t be able to change it in the future. However, you can still copy the URL from a grey box to share with anyone else.

If you’re not happy with your custom url, you can delete it within 72 hours of being approved. You can also change your custom url up to 3 times a year, but you won’t be able to transfer it from one YouTube account to another.

Getting a Custom URL from YouTube is easy but it does require a little bit of work and planning. Fortunately, YouTube has made the process as simple as possible.

Alternatively, you can go to your profile and click on the “channel settings” tab at the bottom of the screen. This will open up a new window that will have your custom url in the center of it. You can copy the URL from here, or you can use a third-party app to directly share your custom URL with others.
